Congratulations to senior Makenzie Aeilts on becoming just the second Dripping Springs High School student to graduate high school with an associate's degree from Austin Community College! She earned her degree by taking dual credit, dual enrollment and AP courses offered through DSHS.

On Thursday, Dripping Springs High School recognized 116 seniors for earning certifications through the school's Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs! Currently, 184 DSHS students have earned certifications with additional students testing over the next few weeks.
Whether students are going on to college or straight into the workforce, these certification courses provide valuable technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to help students build career portfolios and earn higher wages. These certifications introduce students to knowledge and skills that are foundational to future jobs and help set them apart from their peers.

For the first time in program history, the Dripping Springs High School lacrosse team has qualified for the Texas High School Lacrosse League Class B semifinals! The Tigers will face TMI Episcopal on Saturday at 2:30 PM at Magnolia West HS. GO TIGERS!

The Rooster Springs Elementary PTA treated teachers and staff to lunch yesterday and the Dripping Springs Education Foundation stopped by Dripping Springs Middle School to deliver Chick-fil-A!









DSISD held its final Taxpayer Tuesday of the 2023-24 school year this morning at Walnut Springs Elementary! Following a campus tour, attendees learned about DSISD's budget development schedule, how the district builds its annual budget, an overview of the 2024-25 budget, and more.









The DSISD Board of Trustees visited Cypress Springs Elementary on Friday. CSE showcased its leadership, culture and academics for its annual Leadership Day. Trustees heard from the Student Lighthouse Team as well as student, parent and teacher testimonials. In the classrooms, students shared their Leadership Notebooks where they set goals and track their progress. Trustees also attended CSE's Friday assembly where they watched a second-grade music performance and the DSYSA cheerleaders.










During Teacher Appreciation Week, Dripping Springs High School teachers were treated to a massage while the Walnut Springs Elementary principals and their husbands cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for staff! #iamDSISD

The Tiger Baseball team defeated Round Rock Cedar Ridge 2-1 in a winner-take-all game on Saturday to advance to the area round of the playoffs versus New Braunfels! Ticket links will be posted when they become available.

Congratulations to Dripping Springs High School sophomore Jack McClure on a top-10 finish in Principles of Hospitality & Tourism at the International Career Development Conference! He becomes just the sixth DSHS DECA student to be recognized as an international finalist. He is pictured here with DECA sponsors Jen Riddlebarger and Mike Lemonds.

Dr. Morris-Kuentz and the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council celebrated the graduating seniors on the Council with a luncheon yesterday in the Tiger Stadium press box. Students on the Council can serve all four years of high school and provide invaluable feedback about programs and student experiences in DSISD. Congratulations to the seniors and thank you for your service, participation, and honest feedback through the years!






The Dripping Springs High School baseball team posted a 14-2 district record and 23-8 mark overall to place second in District 26-6A this season! The Tigers will face Round Rock Cedar Ridge in a best-of-three bi-district series starting Thursday.
