Dripping Springs ISD will be hosting two community information sessions about the May 2025 Bond on April 9 in the Center for Learning & Leadership. Parents and community members are invited to attend either a morning session at 9:30 a.m. or an evening session at 6:00 p.m. We will be here to share information about the upcoming bond and answer your questions.

The Dripping Springs High School JROTC Student-Led Military Club recently visited Camp Mabry in Austin, where they had the opportunity to meet with members of the Texas Army National Guard, Texas Air National Guard, and the Counterdrug Task Force. During the visit, students learned about the critical missions these units undertake to keep Texans safe and protect against emerging threats. They also explored various career and educational opportunities in both active duty and reserve service. One of the highlights of the visit was observing an sUAS drone in action, used for surveillance and search-and-rescue operations. Students were even given the chance to perform practice flights. At the Counterdrug Task Force headquarters, students received a briefing on ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking, including raising awareness about the dangers of substances like fentanyl. Additionally, members of the Texas Army and Air National Guards discussed their missions and the wide range of military career paths available to those interested. What a great experience for our DSHS students!

DSISD campuses and offices will be closed next week for spring break! Classes will resume on Monday, March 24.

Information on DSISD's May 2025 bond can be found at www.dsisdtx.us/2025bond including proposed projects, district and area growth, tax impact and voter information. A FAQ section will also be added at a later date.
