Congratulations to the Dripping Springs High School Tiger Cry yearbook staff for earning four marks of distinction (essentials, coverage, design and photography) from the National Student Press Association (NSPA) for their 2024 yearbook! The staff also received the highest NSPA honor with an All-American rating.


DSHS Tiger Baseball seniors Cooper Rummel and Taylor Tracey were named to the 31-player East Team roster for the Perfect Game All-American Classic! The game will be held Sunday, August 18 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. Good luck, Tigers!

DSISD elementary schools welcomed students and their families back to campus Monday morning for Meet the Teacher. Our youngest Tigers are ready for Tuesday!









DSISD staff came together Friday morning for our annual Convocation to kickoff the 2024-25 school year, featuring live music, student performances, door prizes, games, breakfast, and more! Thank you to the students who took part in the program and those who helped us run the event! Also, a shoutout to DSHS alumni the Bob & Tanner Band for their performance! #BeyondLimits











Dripping Springs High School welcomed freshmen and new students yesterday for the new student orientation, ROAR. Students toured the campus, met administrators, learned more about student organizations, and more!











On Saturday, approximately 100 Dripping Springs High School seniors participated in a college application boot camp organized by the DSHS Counseling Department. Seniors received information regarding the application and admissions processes, and had the opportunity to have their application essays reviewed by staff.


The application window for Community Advisory Committees is NOW OPEN until August 30. Community Advisory Committees serve an important role for the district by helping DSISD stay connected with its stakeholders and giving parents and community members the opportunity to participate in our processes and programs. On Thursday, Cypress Springs Elementary and Dripping Springs Elementary welcomed families for a Meet & Greet with new principals Amber Daige (CSE) and Kellie Raymond (DSE).

DSISD is excited to welcome back five Dripping Springs High School graduates who will be joining the district as teachers this school year! They are: Elizabeth Jones, DSHS Spanish Teacher (Class of 2020), McKenna Murray, CSE 3rd Grade Teacher (Class of 2018), Lightsey Puryear, DSMS Science Teacher/Coach (Class of 2018), Jayna Reid, DSMS SPED/Inclusion Teacher/Coach (Class of 2020), Dylan Smith, DSMS Science Teacher/Coach (Class of 2018)


This morning, DSISD welcomed around 100 employees for the two-day New Staff Orientation at Dripping Springs High School. Staff hear from district leaders, learn more about the district and participate in professional development. We're excited to have you joining Tiger Nation!










Dripping Springs High School graduate Josh Malcom (Class of 2020) is spending part of his summer in France for the Paris 2024 Olympics! Malcom is currently a Sport Operations Specialist for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), and has been in Paris since mid-July helping members from Nike outfit Team USA athletes for the opening and closing ceremonies! In May, he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a triple major in management, marketing and international business with concentrations in sports and nonprofit management.


Rising Dripping Springs High School senior pitcher Cooper Rummel was one of 20 players to be selected to the 2024 USA Baseball 18U National Team, the organization announced this week! Rummel and Team USA will compete in the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier in Panama City, Panama, from August 2-11. As a junior, Rummel was named District 26-6A Co-Pitcher of the Year with a 9-1 record and 0.87 ERA. He finished with 88 strikeouts in 56 2/3 innings on the mound.
