  • 4th Grade Nutcracker Performance: Families are invited to attend the Nutcracker musical performed by our RSES 4th graders on Thursday, December 11th, at 6:30 pm in the Cafeteria.

Key PTA information:

  • Rooster Springs Running Club: Lace up your running (or walking) shoes and join Morgan, the PTA Healthy Lifestyles chair, on the 1st Friday of the month (that’s TOMORROW), Friday, December 5, at 7:00-7:30 AM. Adults and kids are welcome! If you plan to drive to school to participate in Rooster Runners, please park in the side teachers' parking lot.

  • RSE Store: Mark your calendar for Wednesday, December 10, 2:40-3:00 pm. Visit the Spirit Wear Pop-up Store for some new merch just in time for the holidays. *NEW Location* near the kindergarten & first grade doors! Check out the NEW youth & adult sweatshirts and youth puffy trucker hats! Limited edition, while supplies last only! Ornaments and water bottle stickers make great gifts! T-shirts are now 25% off while supplies last!

  • All Abilities Week: All Abilities Week is in full swing with activities during the school day and an All Abilities bingo game to complete at home. 

  • Sugar Shack: December 18th is the day we sprinkle our Rooster Springs staff with love and appreciation. Prepare to bake or buy your favorite edible goodies and drop them off at school. Sugar Shack is an annual PTA tradition where we create a winter wonderland full of good smells and tasty treats. We invite staff to stop in for their favorite treats. Please consider donating or volunteering to make this magical day come to life.

  • Spelling Bee: Keep those brains active over winter break! Register for the PTA-Sponsored Scripps Spelling Bee, taking place in the RSES Cafeteria on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Final rounds will be held January 15, 2026, at 6:30 PM. All students are encouraged to participate! The last day to register is December 20, 2025. Register here!   • Campus Volunteers: Check out the Volunteer page of rsespta.org. There are a number of upcoming volunteer opportunities. Ms. Henry needs help with daily tasks like reshelving books in the CL&I, and the Literacy Library needs help to keep running smoothly. Volunteers must have a background check on file with the district, but no advance training or skills are required.
