Veterans Day is approaching: Click here for Veterans Day details. We are proud to once again display our Veterans Honor Wall. We invite you to recognize and honor a special Veteran by participating this year. If you are unable to print a copy of the Veterans Honor Wall form, please stop by the office for a copy.
3rd-grade students will be singing in the Veterans Day assembly. However, 3rd-grade parents are invited to attend a special evening concert for families at 6:30 pm on November 11, 2025

RSE Merch Mondays: Look for us on Monday morning, October 20! The PTA-sponsored RSE pop-up store will be near the marquee during morning drop-off. Many adult and kids sizes are still available, as well as two hat options, and dishwasher-safe water bottle stickers! Come support your RSE PTA and many programs that benefit our kids! If you drive to the store, please park in the rear staff lot.
Wellness Fair & Bike Rodeo: Save the Date for the 2nd Annual Wellness Fair & Bike Rodeo presented by the Rooster Springs Elementary PTA! Join us on Saturday, November 8, at 9:30 am for a day of fun, testing your bike skills, and enjoying activities, games, and healthy snacks with Rooster Springs families. More information coming soon!
Reflections: Have projects started at your house? Reflections is a National PTA arts program where students showcase their original works through six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, or visual arts. This year’s theme is “I Belong”. Entries for Rooster Springs are due Friday, November 7th, by 3 PM. Projects can be dropped off in the Reflections box located in the school lobby. Tiger Talks: Save the Date! DS Council of PTAs is presenting the inaugural Tiger Talk at Rooster Springs on November 10th at 6:30 pm. Tiger Talks is a free community education series from the Dripping Springs Council PTA that equips parents, guardians, and community members with practical information on issues affecting DSISD students in grades K–12. The series will foster collaboration across the district by rotating hosting duties among local PTAs. The topic of this moderated panel discussion is: Eat Well, Grow Strong: Nutrition For Kids and Teens. Childcare and food provided.
Spelling Bee: Students have three more months to study for the PTA-sponsored Scripps Spelling Bee if they register now! The event is open to all students and begins on January 14, 2026, in the RSES Cafeteria at 6:30 PM and concludes with the final rounds on January 15, 2026. Register here! Study material provided. Campus Volunteers: Check out the Volunteer page of rsespta.org. There are a number of upcoming opportunities. Ms. Henry needs help with daily tasks like reshelving books in the CL&I. There is also a need to get the Literacy Library running this year. Volunteers must have a background check on file with the district, but no advance training or skills are required.
