I am truly grateful for the opportunity to grow with your beautiful community as the Principal of Rooster Springs Elementary. My journey in education began in Austin ISD, where I proudly served as a fifth-grade teacher and a campus-wide math interventionist for students in Pre-K through 5th grade from 2015 to 2023. Prior to accepting the Assistant Principal position at RSE, I spent three years as a curriculum writer for the district and served as the campus Instructional Coach. These experiences ignited my passion for supporting teaching and learning by collaborating closely with educators and families. Together, we implemented research-based practices that fostered both academic success and social-emotional growth for students.
Connecting with people each day is something I deeply enjoy. I am passionate about guiding students on their path to becoming lifelong learners, and I’m equally committed to supporting teachers in delivering high-quality, inclusive instruction. As educators, I believe it is our responsibility to help remove barriers to student achievement. I value every opportunity to be part of someone’s growth and development.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, running races, and—most recently—gardening. I also love reading, cooking, and soaking up the Texas sun. My husband and I have three wonderful children, ages 11 to 17, and we stay busy with after-school clubs, academics, and outdoor adventures.
I look forward to working alongside the incredible staff, students, and families of Rooster Springs. Together, I am confident we will maximize the potential of every single student!
