I am very excited to be starting my 4th year here at Rooster Springs Elementary School! I graduated from Dowling College in N.Y. with a dual degree in Elementary/Special Education and completed my Masters degree at Prairie View A&M with a degree in Guidance and Counseling. I began my teaching career as a 6th grade Language Arts teacher and then moved on to teach Special Education in grades 6-8. Since earning my Masters degree in 2003, I have worked as a counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school level.

I believe we must find a way to make all children believe in themselves and give them that feeling that they can be successful. I am a passionate and enthusiastic person with a strong desire to motivate and inspire students to do their best. I am thrilled to learn with them and watch them grow and thrive!

On a personal note, I have been married for 18 years and my husband and I have four amazing kids that all attend DSISD! I love spending my free time with family, attending soccer games, reading, hiking, and traveling! I look forward to getting to know you this year! Please reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or praises!  We are a team working together to support your child- and you are an integral part of that team.

Sincerely,

Hello! I am Ms.Gilpin and I am so excited to be in Dripping Springs ISD. As I have enjoyed my time as a special education teacher, it's my pleasure to begin my first year at Rooster Springs Elementary as a School Counselor. I am starting my 29th year as an educator since graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and my Master of Education degree from Lamar University in Counseling and Development. I have lived in Texas and raised my 3 sons here for the past 16 years.

I absolutely love being a school counselor and seeing our students every day! Each child’s unique character, resilience, and their heart full of precious gifts…brings me such a strong sense of HOPE! As the school counselor, I will be involved in activities and services that support students’ social, academic, and personal growth and enhance the quality of their educational experience. I look forward to working with the staff, teachers, families, and students at Rooster Springs Elementary to help everyone be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible!

Sincerely,
