I joined the DSMS staff as principal in July of 2022. I am a graduate of The University of Texas and Concordia University and have served in public education for 30 years. I taught high school science, served as an assistant principal in high school and elementary school, and have served in the role of principal at two elementary schools in another district and now here at DSMS.  My husband and I moved to Dripping Springs 22 years ago and raised our two amazing sons, one who graduated college last year and the other who is currently a junior in college. I am proud to serve the DSISD community.

I am currently in my eighth year as an Assistant Principal at DSMS and in my twentieth year in public education.  I hold a MA in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and a BS in Health Education from the University of New Mexico, where I also competed in Track & Field.  Although I am originally from Reno, NV, I was lucky enough to marry a native Texan, which landed us here in beautiful Dripping Springs.  We have two children who proudly attend DSISD schools. I love to cook, attend concerts with my family and doing anything and everything outdoors with my family.  I strive to ensure that the students of DSMS enjoy learning, feel supported, and are excited about coming to school every day.

I am in my 7th year as an Assistant Principal at DSMS and my 17th year in public education.  My wife, Katie, of 21 years, is an Assistant Principal at Dripping Springs High School. I have 3 awesome children; Trent, an 11th grader at DSHS, Lawson, a 6th grader at DSMS, and Whitley, a 1st grader at WSES. When we aren’t at school, our things are: serving at church, football, lacrosse, being outdoors and showing animals!

I grew up in Dripping Springs, class of 2000, and feel very blessed to be able to serve as an administrator and be part of a wonderful school and community.

We love Dripping Springs and are excited for this school year!
