PSAT / NMSQT
Registering for the Exam
DSHS offers the PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) during the school day each fall. The high school pays for all DSHS juniors to take the PSAT for eligibility in the National Merit Scholarship Program. No action is required for registration for 11th grade students.
9th and 10th graders who want to take the PSAT need to register and pay the exam fee through the DSHS Webstore. An email will be sent out prior to the beginning of the school year with additional registration information.
The next PSAT/NMSQT will be administered on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
The registration window will open early August 2025 and will close on September 24, 2025. A link to the webstore will be posted below once registration opens.

Homeschool and Private School Students
DSHS offers the PSAT to homeschool and private school students who live within the DSISD attendance boundary. A link to the webstore will be posted below once registration opens. Please reach out to DSHS Campus Testing Coordinator, Megan Batson (megan.batson@dsisdtx.us) for the password to register.
