DSHS Seniors 2026 - CTE Certifications

Dripping Springs High School shattered a school record in 2026, with more than 250 students earning a total of 286 industry-based certifications through the school’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs.

Certifications were earned across a variety of career pathways, including animal science, biotechnology, business, communications, computer science, engineering, floral design, health science, transportation and welding.

Students in the health science pathway earned the most certifications (102), including 50 Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certifications. The AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding certification was the most awarded certification, with 54 students earning the credential.

Whether students plan to attend college or enter the workforce directly, these certification courses equip them with valuable technical, communication, collaboration and leadership skills. These credentials help students build strong career portfolios and earn higher wages. They also provide foundational knowledge and skills critical for future jobs, giving students a competitive edge.
