Following a highly successful marching season, the Dripping Springs High School Tiger Band quickly shifted their focus to the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 18 auditions, held on Thursday, Dec. 4, and Saturday, Dec. 6, at Akins High School in Austin.
Twenty-six students earned spots in the Region 18 Band and will participate in the region clinic and concert on Dec. 12-13 at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center.
Of the 26 region qualifiers, 15 advanced to the Area E audition round, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Pieper High School in San Antonio.
