I am thrilled to return as the principal of Dripping Springs Elementary! I served as the founding principal of Cypress Springs Elementary from Fall 2021 through Spring 2024. Before that, I spent six wonderful years as principal at DSE and six years as assistant principal at Walnut Springs. I returned to DSE in 2024, marking my eighth year serving as principal here, although not consecutively. We have an incredible community, and I’m excited for another great year together!

I began my teaching career at Austin ISD at Cunningham Elementary in 2003, teaching first grade. I continued my education journey in 2006, teaching third grade at Dripping Springs Elementary and Rooster Springs Elementary.

I believe in servant leadership and in goal-setting to accomplish great things! All teachers and students can achieve greatness, and it is my role to enable greatness in people everywhere! The children are the purpose of my career as an administrator. Education is one of the most rewarding careers because we witness student and staff achievement and growth every day.

I am a proud wife and mother to three children. Kasey is a speech-language pathologist in Dallas. Curt is an economics graduate from Cornell University, where he played football for the Big Red. He earned a Liberal Arts Master's degree and played football for Texas Christian University (TCU).  Our youngest, Kylar, is a graduate of Texas State University, where she studied Business Administration. My husband and I love watching our children participate and compete in sports, and we love running and staying fit to "sharpen my saw.", I am a 14-year cancer survivor. Most importantly, I AM A LIFE CHANGER AND A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTOR.

I am proud to serve another year as an Assistant Principal at Dripping Springs Elementary School, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success. With 14 years under my belt, I have previously made contributions as a teacher at Dripping Springs Elementary, as well as a Dripping Springs ISD Instructional Coach, fostering a love of learning and academic excellence among students.

I hold an Elementary Education Degree from Texas Tech University and furthered my education with a Masters in School Administration from Concordia University. These academic achievements have equipped me with a solid foundation in educational best practices and leadership skills.

I became an educator because of my deep passion for working with children. My mission is to provide personal support to each student, both academically and socially, to help them develop into lifelong learners.

Beyond my professional life, I am dedicated to my family. I am happily married to Michael Savarino and I am a proud parent to two wonderful sons, Noah (5) and Luca (3.) I will always have a family oriented perspective that enriches my approach to education, emphasizing the importance of a supportive and nurturing environment for all students.

I am truly excited to continue contributing to the success of Dripping Springs Elementary School and I am committed to guiding the school community towards a bright and promising future.
