I am privileged and overjoyed to serve as the Principal of Cypress Springs Elementary School! I grew up in Vermont and spent ten years in California before moving to Texas in 2010.  Over the last 15 years as an Educator, I have had the opportunity to teach first, second, and third-grade, reading intervention, as well as serve in the role of Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. 

As an educator and a campus leader, my ultimate goal is for students to grow to their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally in an atmosphere that is engaging and adaptive to their diverse needs. I have an uncompromising view that all students can learn and grow at high levels if given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. It is an amazing experience to be able to work with students every day and watch them achieve their goals! 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Chris, and our two children, Emma and Camden. Emma is currently attending Texas State University and following in her father’s footsteps studying Chemistry. Camden is attending the University of Texas at San Antonio studying Statistics. 

I am grateful for the opportunity each year to positively support and change lives.  Let's go, Cypress!!!!
