Dripping Springs High School senior William Mangione became the first golfer to qualify for the UIL 6A State Tournament in program history following a fourth-place finish at the Region IV-6A Tournament on Thursday, April 16, at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in San Antonio.
Mangione shot a two-over-par 146, finishing just one stroke shy of second place to secure a state tournament berth. The Incarnate Word commit is the first Tiger to advance to state since Tanner Wardlaw in 2022.
The UIL 6A State Tournament will be held April 27-28 at the White Bluff Resort in Whitney.
