Dripping Springs High School qualified 10 wrestlers for the UIL 6A State Tournament following a strong performance at the Region IV-6A Championships last weekend at the Delco Center in Austin.
Reigning UIL state champions Jackson Shipley (120 lbs.) and Lucy Clarno (125 lbs.) captured regional titles as they continued their quests for back-to-back state championships.
On the boys side, three Tigers earned regional runner-up finishes: Charlie Lundin (138 lbs.), Caleb Collins (165 lbs.) and Noah Williams (190 lbs.). Additional state qualifiers included fourth-place finishers Joseph Austin (144 lbs.), Tucker Lundin (157 lbs.) and Daniel Killian (285 lbs.).
The girls team matched a program-best by qualifying three wrestlers for state. Estrella Rios Galindo (135 lbs.) placed second, while Rasanie Ly (145 lbs.) finished fourth.
In the team standings, the boys recorded their highest finish since 2023, placing second with 178.5 points, just behind Austin Vandegrift’s 195. The girls placed fourth with 111.5 points, marking their best finish since 2022, behind San Antonio Johnson (145.5), Harker Heights (144) and San Antonio Madison (116).
The UIL State Tournament will take place Feb. 13-14 at the Berry Center in Houston.
