More than 110 juniors and seniors at Dripping Springs High School have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program for their outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, and/or AP® Exams.
Students at Dripping Springs High School received three types of honors: the First-Generation Recognition Award, the Rural and Small Town Recognition Award, and the newly introduced School Recognition Award. Over 100 students were recognized with the Rural and Small Town Award, and, for the first time in 2025, a majority of students also received the School Recognition Award.
The School Recognition Award honors students who rank among the top 10% of test takers at their school on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10, and/or earn a score of 3 or higher on two or more distinct AP Exams by the end of 10th grade.
Eligible students must meet the following criteria to qualify:
Earn a cumulative GPA of B+ or higher (at least 3.3 or 87-89%) by the time of submission.
Take the PSAT/NMSQT (10th, 11th), PSAT 10 (10th), and/or AP Exams (by the end of 10th).
Demonstrate academic achievement: Be one of the top 10% of test takers - in their high school, among first-generation college students in their state, and/or among rural and small-town students in their state OR earn a 3+ on 2 or more distinct AP exams in the 8th, 9th and/or 10th grade.
