Time is flying by! Hard to believe that we are approaching Thanksgiving Break. We are grateful to our amazing staff for their dedication to excellence and to our learners for remaining steadfast in their learning. Thank you to our families for the love and support. This time of year our fabulous staff could use words of appreciation to lift us all up…please consider sending a thank you today.

Tomorrow is Veterans Day and we are encouraging all to wear red, white, and blue in order to honor our service men and women. We made an adjustment to tomorrow’s assembly due to the weather. In addition, PK-1st grades will remain in their classrooms and we will live stream the assembly. 2nd-4th will be in the gym for the assembly. If a student in PK-1 is wearing a Girl Scout or Boy Scout uniform, they will go to the gym to be a part of the ceremony. The assembly begins promptly at 8:30. Thank you to those who RSVPed.

CYPRESS SPRINTERS TOMORROW MORNING. 2nd-5th graders may show up to the track to walk/jog. Pk-1st grade families are asked to jog/walk with their students. Fridays from 7:15-7:35, weather permitting, we will invite students to walk/jog the track. Click here for information.

- FALL BOOK FAIR last day for shopping is tomorrow. Thank you to our volunteers for your support these past two weeks!
- Audition for our 1st CSES Talent Show! Our next (and last) audition is on November 15. The "Holly Jolly Hoe-Down" will be on Thursday, December 1st at 6 pm!
- CSE PTA will host a Thankful Thursday Teacher/Staff Luncheon on Thursday, November 17. Please look in your backpacks for Thankful Thursday notes of gratitude, which you and your child can complete and return to school by Monday 11/14. Families can also sign up to bring sodas or a dessert!
- Last day to submit your application for TX PTA Scholarships ($500 for faculty and $1,000 for a graduating high school senior) is November 15! Join CSES PTA and go here to apply: www.txpta.org/scholarships.
