Thank you for being the very best community there is!  We are proud to be tigers! For the month of March we will learn about Habit 6: Synergize. We teach the children that together is better.  Habit 6 is about working together. Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions. Check out this resource for Synergy Saturdays for families.  

  1. Tomorrow, February 25, is a school-wide PJ day!  Come cozy for a day of learning.

  2. March 1st is Spring Picture Day!  Come dressed to impress! Individual and classroom pictures will be taken this day.

  8. Waterproof Bags For Library Books Available! The CL&I has seen many library books returned with accidental water damage due to leaky water bottles. This can make things a bit difficult for our growing library when we are putting extra energy into replacing the books we already own. We wanted to help find a solution to this common problem. We are offering free waterproof, zippered bags for families that would like one! The bags are big enough for library books to fit inside and can stay in the backpack to offer protection should there be a water bottle leak. If you feel that this is something that would be beneficial, please fill out this form and we will make sure to deliver one to your child's classroom. 

  9. During the week of February 28th, CSE is joining thousands of schools across the country in a celebration of reading. When we make time to read with kids, they get the message that reading is important and fun! We have planned some special interactive events to engage our students in the 'why' behind reading. Our goal is to create a community of lifelong readers who appreciate the value that story adds to their lives! Here are PK-2  and 3-5 outlines of our focused reading celebrations and the accompanying books. 

  10. CSE PTA Updates

  • SOUPER Luncheon TOMORROW - Tomorrow 2/25 is our last Fabulous Friday, a crockpot SOUPER luncheon for teachers/staff. Thank you to all our volunteers for signing up to help! A reminder to PLEASE USE A CROCKPOT LINER, and label your crockpot, ladle, and any other items you want returned. You can drop off soups, desserts, drinks in the front entry area by 10 am, and all crockpots will be available to pick up after 2 pm.   • GET READY FOR APEX! Our Apex Fun Run event fundraiser and leadership program begins next week! Our goal is to raise funds to provide shade structures for the CSES playground areas. We love the amazing leadership and character-building portion of the Apex program as it focuses on developing student self-control and interpersonal skills that are vital for school and life success. With this year’s Apex AsOne theme, students will embark on an incredible two-week quest in search of the key to becoming great leaders, learning to dream big, and making a positive impact on the world. These quick, engaging lessons tie in with our schools vision and mission, encourages students to create a positive environment, and inspires them to lead by example. The Apex Fun Run event will be held on 03/10/22. More info on how to make a pledge to support will go home next week!

  • Yearbook Ordering Info - Yearbooks are on sale for $30, now until March 28. For an additional cost, you can personalize any yearbook and give a shout-out to a graduating 5th grader! Questions can be directed to secretary@csepta.org.
