New Student Registration

July 16, 2019

For families who are new to Dripping Springs ISD, registration is done by using the online system to fill out registration information, then visiting the student's new campus on a specified registration date to submit required documents. July 26 is the deadline for new parents to comlete the online part of the process; August 1 is the document drop-off day. School attendance zones are determined by the student's street address. Please see our Interactive Map/Address Lookup tool for attendance zone information. Once the campus has received the necessary documents, the enrollment process is complete. A list of required documents is available on the Registration webpage. The document submission date on Thursday, August 1, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on elementary and middle school campuses. New students at Dripping Springs Elementary must go to Walnut Springs Elementary for this because of construction at DSE. For new high school students, an appointment must be made with an academic counselor; appointments are available the week of August 5-9, 2019, and can be made by calling 512.858.3109.

All students, including those newly registered, complete the annual enrollment verification process starting in July. Student information verification is an annual process that allows parents/guardians to check and update contact, emergency, and health information and to complete required yearly forms online. Parents also must acknowledge receipt of some information on an annual basis.

The above process is for students who are new to DSISD. ALL students, including those who are new, must complete the annual enrollment verification process, which runs from July 27 to August 11, 2019. However, new students must register before doing enrollment verification. The enrollment verification process includes: confirmation of student data and contact information, parental consent form, health record information, acknowledgement of Student Code of Conduct/Student Handbook, student transportation information, and more.
