DSHS Basketball Players Receive Post-Season Honors

The Dripping Springs High School Lady Tiger and Tiger basketball teams were well-represented in post-season district honors, including three special award winners at the district level.
The Lady Tigers special award winners in District 25-5A were senior Kennedy Donovan, named Defensive Most Valuable Player and Head Coach David Norris, named Coach of the Year. Named to the All-District First Team were Kennedy Donovan, Ally Beck, Caroline Gamble, and Kline Stafford. Named to the All-District Second Team was Caitlyn Brack. Receiving honorable mention were Grace Fowler, Avery Johnson, and Hannah Pena.
In addition, Caitlyn Brack and Julia Graham were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association's 2018-19 Academic All-State 1st Team. The Academic All-District team included Brack, Graham, Ally Beck, Caroline Gamble, Carson Hall, Stephanie Hartnett, Teagan Huslig, Avery Johnson, Emily Kotrola, Mallari O’Neal, Hanna Pena, and Kline Stafford. 
For the Tiger boys' basketball team, junior Trace Young received special recognition as District 25-5A's Newcomer of the Year. Trace also was named to the All-District First Team, along with Enzo Arnold. Xavier Phillips and Nick Statz were named to the All-District Second Team. In addition, Ben Bondurant, Collin DeWitt, Alema Louis, West Weichert, and Trace Young were named to the Academic All-District team.
