Students Qualify for HOSA State Competition

Two Health Sciences students at Dripping Springs High School have qualified for the state HOSA (Future Health Professionals) competition based on their results at the Area 1 competition March 2. Chloe Aguilar placed second in Behavioral Health and Katie Bender finished third in Pharmacology to earn the right to advance. The top three finishers in each event move on to state. Just missing that placement was Maddie Lee, who was fourth in Extemporaneous Health Poster.

HOSA's Competitive Events Program is designed to motivate students and provide a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through Health Science and Biomedical Science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA related activities. This national program recognizes those students who are willing to pursue excellence by preparing for competition and having the determination to attend a conference and participate in a competitive event.
