DSHS Theatre Students Qualify for National Competition

Dripping Springs High School sent 42 Thespian Society members to the Texas State Thespian Festival in Dallas Nov. 15-17. This festival includes more than 7,000 student delegates and is one of the largest annual Thespian festivals in the nation. In addition to their classes and workshops, DSHS students competed in acting and technical areas.

Seven students' scores qualified them to compete at the International Thespian Festival. Earning national bids were: Sarah Davison in Stage Management, Madeline Wade in Costume Construction, Cassie Martin in Duet Acting, Natalie L'Amoreaux in Duet Acting, Kenzie Olsen in Solo Musical Performance, Preston Willis in Duet Musical Performance, and Molly Moynihan in Duet Musical Performance.

The International Thespian Festival is scheduled for June 25-30 at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
