DSISD Athletes Successful at Special Olympics Bowling Meet

Dripping Springs ISD was represented by 16 athletes at the Special Olympics Area 13 Meet in bowling Nov. 3. Eight students participated in the "Unified Doubles" competition, which includes one Special Olympics athlete with a Unified partner. This is the first time Dripping Springs has entered the Unified competition.


DSISD earned five Gold Medals, three Silver Medals, two Bronze Medals, and fifth-place ribbon. Winning Gold were Brant Higgerson, Kylie Euston, Reid Shield, the Unified team of Isabella Torres/Trinity Turner, and the Unified team of Mitchel Hetrick/Miguel Standridge. Earning Silver were Luke Gonzales, Davis Pringle, and the Unified team of Muriel Torres/Susan Zelda. Finishing with Bronze Medals were Kaley Watson, Alex Heir, and the Unified team of Bryson Waggle/Tony Touvre; Brenden Willis received the ribbon.
