Middle School Theatre Programs Plan Fall Performances

Dripping Springs ISD middle school theatre students will showcase their talents in upcoming productions this month.

Dripping Springs Middle School will present “Peter Pan Junior” Nov. 8-10 in the DSMS Cafeteria. Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's enchanting play, Disney's Peter Pan Junior is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up. The score includes new arrangements of classic Disney songs and a story featuring one rousing adventure after another. Curtain time each night is 7 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Sycamore Springs Middle School will present “Cats” Nov. 15-17 in the cafeteria. Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical is a spectacle of T.S. Elliot poetry. The story spotlights a tribe of feral cats as they meet at the annual Jellicle Ball to discover who will be chosen to embark on a journey to the mystical Heaviside Layer. Performances are scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be $10 for adults and $7 for students.
