For a second time, the Sycamore Springs Middle School PTA has earned National PTA School of Excellence distinction. The designation, which is for a two-year period, comes following a process that included family and staff surveys, an action plan to improve the family-school partnership and a final application. Only 369 PTAs and schools nationwide have been designated 2022-24 Schools of Excellence. 

National PTA School of Excellence is a recognition program that supports and celebrates partnerships between local PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students. By enrolling in this program, the PTA and school administrators are making a year-long commitment in identifying and implementing an action plan for school improvement. Through the School of Excellence program, PTAs and families become key partners in decision-making and school improvement efforts. 

Previously, Sycamore Springs Middle School was recognized as a National PTA School Excellence in 2020. Rooster Springs Elementary has twice earned the distinction (2019-21, 2021-23) and Cypress Springs Elementary (2021-23) and Dripping Springs Elementary (2020-22) have earned the honor once.
