Three Dripping Springs High School pianists qualified for the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest after earning top ratings at the region contest on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Lake Travis High School. 

Senior Evelyn Chis, sophomore Everett Kling and freshman Abir Kulkarni received a “I” rating to advance to the state competition. 

Students advance to the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest by memorizing a Class I solo and receiving a “I” rating from the judges. 

The state contest will be held in May in Austin.
