Four DSHS Students Compete at HOSA International Leadership Conference

Four Health Science students represented Dripping Springs High School at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville in June.

 

Arysta Visser placed first in Pharmacy Science and received a $1000 scholarship. In April, she placed second at the Texas Leadership Conference to qualify for the international event.

 

Bailey Inglish recorded a top-10 finish in Medical Reading while Karenna Edwards advanced to the second round of competition in Healthy Lifestyles. Inglish was a fourth-place finisher at the state event, and Edwards was the state champion in her event.

 

Priya Chandrani placed in the top 10 percent of competitors and obtained mastery level on the Healthcare Issues Exam. She also placed in the top 10 percent at the state competition to qualify.

 

DSHS HOSA had a record-breaking 2021-22 season with a school-record 12 students qualifying for the Texas Leadership Conference.
