Five Dripping Springs High School choir students earned Superior Ratings at the UIL State Solo-Ensemble Contest on Saturday, May 28 in Pflugerville.

Camila Gutierrez, Jonathan Jensen, Kate Nolen, Kaylee Ritchey and Portia Schaeffer-Preston received top honors for Dripping Springs. In addition, Grayson Dunham, Liliana Dyck, Isabel Fernandez, Sloan Handley, Michelle Hinojosa, Amelia Lawrence, Cole Thomas and Colin Tuohy earned Excellent Ratings for their performances.

The 13 DSHS students qualified for the state competition after earning a Superior Rating on a Class 1 solo at the regional contest in February.
