Community Feedback Sought on DSISD’s Long-Range Plans
April 13, 2022
DSISD wants your feedback! Please take a few minutes now and complete the DSISD Community Feedback Survey about the district’s Long-Range Facility Planning Committee's (LRFPC) recommendations. These recommendations include:
- Building a Second Comprehensive High School at 2,500 Student Capacity
- Building Future Middle Schools at 1,200 Student Capacity
- Expanding Sycamore Springs Middle School to 1,200 Student Capacity
- Modifying Tiger Stadium to Support a Second High School
- Building Elementary #6
- Purchasing Land
As a fast-growth district, with year-over-year student enrollment growth of 10%, DSISD must be well-prepared to serve the students and families of the district. It is important that the community share their opinions on the committee’s recommendations to ensure the plans align with stakeholders’ and taxpayers’ perspectives about our school community’s needs.
The Community Feedback Survey will be open until Thursday, April 21.
Stakeholders can learn more about the LRFPC recommendations at dsisdtx.us/longrangeplanning.
