DSISD Students Earn Honors at Hays County Livestock Show

Numerous Dripping Springs ISD students were successful at the 2022 Hays County Livestock Show with many earning honors in various breeds and classes.
Six students earned Grand Champion honors: Kellen Embrey (Home Skills), Nathan Powers (Market Steer), Camryn Cunningham (Market Goats), Roan Aleshire (Market Rabbit), Clayton Doyle (Breeding Swine), and Quincy Raines (Breeding Goat).
Reserve Grand Champion accolades went to six students in Home Skills: Kelsey Tovar, Kennedy Lorenzen, Keeley Miller, Clayton Wilks, Sybil Shumway, and Truett Herzog. Mille Powers (Market Steer), Peyton Hipolito (Market Swine), and Chazin Herzog (Breeding Rabbits) also earned the distinction.
Receiving Breed Champion honors were Allee Kirkey (Market Steer), Grayson Buaas (Market Swine), and Laramie Doyle (Market Swine). Drake Alderson (Ag Mech) was a Group Champion and Quincy Raines (Market Goats) was also named a Division Champion.
Reserve Breed Champion honors went to Laramie Doyle (Market Steer), Oscar Tovar (Market Steer), and Parker Cooke (Market Swine), while Barrett Collins (Market Lamb) and Allee Kirkey (Market Lamb) were named Reserve Champions.
