The Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Tuesday, November 23 at 5:00 p.m. to take action on the district’s annual financial audit. After a presentation by the auditor Weaver and Tidwell and open discussion by the board with the auditors, the trustees voted to disapprove the Annual Financial Audit Report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2021 for reasons that were outlined in the district’s management response letter and because the board received the final financial audit report less than one hour before the meeting. The board has requested that district administration come back to the board with plans for a review of the audit and audit process.
