Attendance Zone Community Meeting March 9

March 8, 2021

As Dripping Springs ISD prepares for the opening of Cypress Springs Elementary, the process to develop new attendance zones continues. Two community meetings on attendance zones have been held and a third virtual meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. Members of the public may view the meeting either live or afterwards at this link or they may sign in as a participant at this link

Community meetings have featured overviews of the attendance zone development process and timeline, sharing of board-approved parameters, demographic information and projected enrollments, an introduction of “starter option” maps, then additional attendance zone maps to consider for both elementary schools and middle school feeder patterns.

At four administrative attendance zone committee meetings, community feedback has been reviewed, maps have been examined and adjusted, and potential adjustments have been suggested and discussed.

The maps that are under consideration are available here. Since last week's meeting, one middle school option – Option 2 – has been removed from consideration.
