DSISD Schools Honor Veterans, Differently

Dripping Springs ISD schools have a long-standing tradition of honoring veterans with assemblies and live programs on Veterans Day. While the format of programs will be different this year due to the pandemic, the sentiment remains the same.

 

Most schools are compiling videos to honor veterans and links will be posted on this site by Wednesday, Nov. 11. Below is a by-campus list of activities planned to honor veterans.


Dripping Springs Elementary:  DSE is doing a video recording to honor veterans. 

Rooster Springs Elementary:  RSE is holding a virtual recorded assembly to honor veterans.

Sycamore Springs Elementary:  SSE has compiled a video honoring veterans.

Walnut Springs Elementary:  WSE will hold a virtual program honoring veterans on Zoom starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Dripping Springs Middle School:  DSMS recorded a choir and orchestra performance to honor veterans.

Sycamore Springs Middle School:  A video honoring veterans will be tied in with an SEL lesson. Students will write thank-you notes to veterans honoring their service. In addition, the SSMS Varsity Choir created a recording of America the Beautiful that will also be available on the SSMS website.  

Dripping Springs High School:  The high school will show a virtual tribute video to veterans that all students will watch during Tiger Time.
