Kindergarten Round-Up Goes Virtual
May 11, 2020
All four Dripping Springs ISD elementary schools have created virtual Kindergarten Round-Up experiences for their incoming students to replace planned in-person activities that have been canceled as a result of the pandemic. Dripping Springs Elementary, Rooster Springs Elementary, Sycamore Springs Elementary, and Walnut Springs Elementary have all created videos and/or slide shows as a general orientation to their campuses. The videos include tours, an introduction to kindergarten teachers, and information about the school routine. Parents of registered kindergartners have been sent emails with links to these tools.
Those with questions about registration process may contact the registrar at each school:
Dripping Springs Elementary: Barbara Robinson
Rooster Springs Elementary: Joel Miles
Sycamore Springs Elementary: Shanonn Miskol
Walnut Springs Elementary: Melissa Dorsey
Document drop-off will occur on all campuseson August 4, 2020. Online registration for kindergarten will remain open until school starts in August, but it is recommended that the online steps are completed prior to the August 4 document drop-off date.
Incoming parents can get connected to their new campuses by looking for schools websites and social media pages.
For parents who completed the registration process for tuition-based pre-K students, the Learning and Innovation Department is examining application numbers and projected staffing and will notify parents by the end of the month regarding campus assignments.
