Spring Community Services Offerings Published

January 6, 2020

The Dripping Springs ISD Community Services Office has announced programs and classes that are available this spring. The Spring Catalog was mailed district-wide over the holidays.

Spring offerings include courses and events tailored to people of all ages ... preschool, school-age, teen and adult.

For school-age children, after-school enrichment classes are offered at each campus; students will receive a take-home list specific to individual campuses in Thursday folders. Examples of classes offered are: dance, sports, robotics, art, cooking, music, coding, movie-making, science, and more! Some classes are available to grades kindergarten through fifth grade and some are designated for certain grade levels.

For older students, DSISD offers Driver Education (classroom instruction) and Babysitting Safety, Skateboarding, and SAT Prep. STAAR Prep is available for students in Grades 3-8.

Spring Break camps also are offered to assist working parents, both for school-age students and for children ages 3-5. Both Spring Break camps will be held at Rooster Springs Elementary.

Special events include the Mother/Son Dance, the Father/Daughter Ball, and Parents' Night Out.

The district offers many adult education general interest classes, in subjects such as Spanish, Digital Marketing for Small Business, Sign Language, Karate, Ukulele, Floral Design, Dog Training, and Yoga. In addition, English as a Second Language, GED Prep, and "Medicare 101" are offered.
