The Dripping Springs High School 2019 Tiger Cry yearbook recently received another honor to its recognition list. The American Scholastic Press Association has awarded the Tiger Cry a "First Place" designation. Approximately 150 publications receive this honor of all books submitted from public, private and charter schools across the nation and Canada, including nine others from the state of Texas. In addition to the point scores and awards, schools are provided with a written review with suggestions, hints for improvement, and encouragement for student staff and editors. The panel of judges consists of educators and faculty advisers for scholastic publications.
Previously this fall the 2019 yearbook was awarded a Gold Medal by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) and received All-Columbia honors in all three scored areas of the yearbook. Jessica Stamp is the DSHS faculty advisor.
