Applications Available for Bond Advisory Committee

December 13, 2019

Applications are now being accepted for the Bond Advisory Committee (BAC), a nine-member committee appointed by the DSISD Board of Trustees that will monitor the progress of 2018 bond projects. Responsibilities of the committee will be: reviewing bond expenditures and timelines, reviewing possible scope changes and making recommendations to the board, and making semi-annual public reports to the board. Complete guidelines for the BAC can be viewed here.

The board will review applications for committee membership from residents of Dripping Springs ISD and select members based in part on geographic representation and professional expertise.

The deadline for applications is Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.

Major projects included in the 2018 bond program are: expansion of Dripping Springs HS to capacity for 2,500 students, construction of a new elementary school (#5), construction of a new Walnut Springs Elementary adjacent to Dripping Springs MS, conversion of the current WSE campus into space for the district administration and daycare facility, miscellaneous projects at Dripping Springs MS, improvements and expansion of the District Transportation facility, district-wide technology infrastructure improvements and maintenance upgrades, and land acquisition. Renovations at Dripping Springs Elementary and Rooster Springs Elementary, as well as turf and track improvements at Dripping Springs High School and Dripping Springs Middle School, have been completed.
