    District Teachers of the Year Announced

    At the May board meeting, Dripping Springs ISD announced Jennifer McGinnis and Dan Shane as the District Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year, respectively. McGinnis and Shane will now represent DSISD in the Region 13 Teacher of the Year selection process this summer.

    Track and Field Athletes Compete at UIL State Meet

    Three Dripping Springs High School track and field athletes concluded their 2023 season at the UIL 6A State Meet on Saturday, May 13 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.

  •  Annual Enrollment Verification begins May 11. Please complete through Family Access by June 8.

    Annual Enrollment Verification Begins May 11

    Dripping Springs ISD’s annual enrollment verification process for all students begins Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. According to state law, this process must be completed each year for all students – those who have previously been enrolled in DSISD and those who are new to our district and previously completed registration in the spring.

    DSISD Voters Pass Bond; Elect Two New Trustees to School Board

    In the May 6, 2023 Election, 64% of Dripping Springs ISD voters approved the $223.7 million bond referendum, according to unofficial results. In addition, voters elected Kim Cousins and Rob McClelland to three-year terms on the DSISD Board of Trustees.

    Senior Wins Title at Theatrical Design State Championships

    Senior Natasha Newton became the first Dripping Springs High School student to capture a state title at the UIL Theatrical Design State Championships on Wednesday, May 3 after finishing in first place in Set Design. Newton competed against 25 other students in Division II (large school category) after submitting a design related to this year’s state theme of “Frankenstein”.

    DSHS Art Students Earn All-State Honors

    Five Dripping Springs High School art students earned all-state recognition at the Texas Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) competition on April 29 in San Marcos. In addition to all-state honors, Brooklyn Rice was awarded a Gold Seal, the highest state recognition, for her piece.

    DSHS DECA Records Top-40 Finishes at International Event

    Three Dripping Springs High School DECA students earned top-40 finishes at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) last week in Orlando, Florida. Jackson Wiedemann became just the fifth Dripping Springs DECA student to be recognized as an international finalist after placing in the top 20 in Human Resources Management.

    Track & Field Advances Three to UIL State Meet

    Three Dripping Springs High School track and field athletes qualified for the UIL 6A State Meet after finishing second in their respective events at the Region IV-6A Meet on April 28-29 at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio.
