  • DSHS Students Qualify for State DECA Competition

    A record 33 DSHS students have qualified for the state DECA competition based on results in 20 different events at the recent district meet. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.   • Two Selected as All-State Band Members

    Dripping Springs High School senior Johnny Dollard (trumpet) and junior Drew Wilson (alto sax) have been selected to the 2020 Texas All-State Band. All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive; only the top 2.6 percent of nearly 67,000 musicians who initially audition earn all-state recognition.     The creative work of many Dripping Springs ISD students entered in the annual PTA Reflections program was recently evaluated based on artistic merit, creativity, mastery of the medium, and interpretation of the theme.   • Ten DSISD Student-Athletes Announce Commitments on National Signing Day

    On the Nov. 13 National Signing Day, 10 Dripping Springs High School seniors announced commitments to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Volleyball players Avery Kalsu, Mackenzie Murray, Sarah Nading, and Kylar Raymond, softball players Mikayla Kanetzky and Jayna Reid, swimmer Danny Henry, soccer player Emma Jones, basketball player Xavier Phillips, and baseball player Zach Tjemeland signed National Letters of Intent.

  • DSHS Students Perform with Region Choir; 20 Qualify for Pre-Area Auditions

    The Dripping Springs High School Choir had 22 students perform as part of the Region Choir on Nov. 9, 2019. Students rehearsed for two days, then performed their concert at the AISD Performing Arts Center. Twenty students have qualified to compete at Pre-Area audtions on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
