The purpose of the High School #2 Naming & Branding Committee is to form recommendations to present to the DSISD Board of Trustees for the name, mascot and colors of the district's second high school. Construction on the campus will begin in late 2025 and is expected to open for the 2028-29 school year. More information on this school can be found here.

DSISD Board Policy on naming district facilities:

• District facilities may be named for local residential areas, local geographic features, or local, state, or national landmarks.

• District facilities shall not be named for persons, living or deceased.
