Dripping Springs ISD’s online verification process for students enrolling for the 2025-26 school year should be completed by Thursday, May 22. According to state law, this process must be completed each year for all students – those who have previously been enrolled in DSISD and those who are new to our district and previously completed registration in the spring.
Family Access logins are used to begin this process. Parents received a reminder email with their Family Access login information. If you do not have a login or cannot remember your password, please follow the directions in the reminder email.
During the verification process, parents complete back-to-school forms. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you have problems with the online process, please contact your child’s campus and ask for the Skyward Family Access contact/Student Records Specialist. Computers are available at campuses for those who do not have one available at home.
DSISD NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF STUDENT SERVICES
The Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Kathy Cornett as the district’s new Director of Student Services during its May 19 meeting.
Cornett brings over 20 years of experience in public education and most recently served as principal of Voss Middle School in Boerne ISD for three years. Under her leadership, Voss developed a strong campus culture, with over 90% of staff reporting high morale and a positive environment. Her leadership also led to academic growth across the board, including a 19% increase in sixth-grade reading scores on the STAAR exam from 2022 to 2024. The campus earned an A rating from the Texas Education Agency during her tenure.
As Director of Student Services, Cornett will oversee positive behavior systems, discipline management, student attendance, and transfer processes. She will also support the resolution of student and parent concerns and implement systems to support organizational operations focused on student outcomes.
Before her role at Voss, Cornett spent nearly 15 years at Boerne High School as a math teacher, department chair, assistant principal and academic dean. Her career also includes teaching roles at Arlington High School, Judson High School, and The Episcopal School of Texas.
Cornett holds a Bachelor of Science in Math and Chemistry from Texas Lutheran University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Schreiner University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin.
She will begin her duties in July.
DSHS STUDENTS WIN 6A GROUP DESIGN TITLE AT THEATRICAL DESIGN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Dripping Springs High School students Leela Bertram, Adrian Fisher, Hannah Salazar and Elise Turner captured the Group Design state championship at the UIL 6A Theatrical Design State Meet on Saturday, May 17, at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center.
This marks only the second state title in Theatrical Design for Dripping Springs High School—following Natasha Newton’s win in Set Design in 2023—and the school’s first-ever championship in Group Design.
The DSHS team was one of six entries rated “exemplary” and selected to present at the state meet, which was themed “Axoloris The Musical.” Competitors were challenged to draw inspiration from an artist or art movement and develop an original design concept that incorporated innovative technology.
In addition to the group’s success, Bertram and Fisher also placed in the Individual Set Design category. Bertram earned fourth place for the second consecutive year, while Fisher placed fifth.
Molly Gretzinger also represented Dripping Springs as a state qualifier in Hair & Makeup Design.
TIGER SOFTBALL ADVANCES TO STATE SEMIFINALS
The Dripping Springs High School Tiger Softball team advanced to the state semifinals on Saturday, May 17, following an 8-1 win over Round Rock Cedar Ridge in a decisive game 3 of the regional finals at Concordia University.

Following a 6-1 setback on Friday, Dripping Springs bounced back with a dominant performance on Saturday.
