REGULAR MEETING AGENDA:
The agenda has been posted for the Jan. 25, 2021, DSISD Board of Trustees regular meeting. The meeting, which will be conducted via videoconference as allowed by law, will begin at 6:00 p.m. Board members will participate remotely and members of the general public can use a link to connect to the audio of the meeting. Those wishing to provide comments for Public Forum should call 512.827.7365 to record comments by 3:00 p.m. the day of the meeting.
SMART TAG PARENT PORTAL AVAILABLE:
The final implementation phase of the SMART Tag bus rider management sytem is now available: the Parent Portal. The portal offers families the opportunity to confirm a child got on and off the bus as expected, and to receive text messages when the bus is approximately 10 minutes away from the child’s bus stop. Parent of bus riders can register here.
ANNUAL REPORT/PUBLIC HEARING:
The annual presentation and public hearing of the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) will occur at the Jan. 25, 2021 DSISD Board of Trustees (virtual) meeting. The report, which is presented each January, references the most recent data compiled by the state in areas such as student performance, student/staff demographics, graduation rate and student discipline incidents.
COVID CASE DASHBOARD:
The district's dashboard of staff and students with test-confirmed COVID-19 cases was updated on Jan. 4, 2021, to reflect cases that occurred over Winter Break.
"RETURN, REIMAGINE, RECONNECT" WEBPAGE PROVIDES UPDATES ON RETURN TO SCHOOL:
The "Return, Reimagine, Reconnect" webpage shares information and updates on the return to school for the 2020-21 year. Information is available on the instructional plan, remote learning, in-person learning, the collection of feedback, and other resources. Frequently Asked Questions on many topics are available as well.
