• FINE ARTS

Fine Arts education in Dripping Springs ISD begins with excellent arts programs in the elementary grades (K-5) laying a firm foundation upon which students can build in their middle and high school years. DSISD’s rigorous Fine Arts curriculum supports the goals articulated in the district’s Portrait of a Graduate, helping our students to become vital, well-rounded citizens.

Led by a Fine Arts faculty comprised of dedicated and accomplished professionals, students of art, dance, theatre, and vocal and instrumental music thrive at secondary schools. Dripping Springs students have a reputation for delivering performances at a high level of excellence, participating and regularly placing in regional, area and state competitions. Their success in the arts is mirrored and supported by strong academic achievement. Many valedictorians, salutatorians, AP Scholars, National Merit Scholarship contenders, and top 10-percent graduates from DSHS have been high-achieving Fine Arts students as well.

The leadership, creativity, and self-discipline skills inherent in Fine Arts education support the academic success and personal integrity that lead Dripping Springs graduates to be lifelong learners and positive contributors to the world.
