    In our class students will learn the history of our nation from settlement through the Civil War, all while building skills necessary for success in high school.

    About Mrs. Smart:

    I am super excited about starting my 13th year teaching at Sycamore Springs Middle School!  

    My past teaching assignments have included teaching all levels of US History, Government, and Texas History in both Katy and Austin, Texas.

    After graduating from the University of Texas and teaching in Austin, our family moved to Katy, TX in 2005.  We were finally able to return to the Austin area in the summer of 2017 and are thrilled to be in DSISD!
