Vaccination Information:

Texas State Law requires that ALL 7th graders receive the following vaccines:

    • Tdap booster - 1 dose within the last 5 years
    • Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4, MCV4P) - 1 dose on or after student's 11th birthday

For those parents who do not want their children to be vaccinated for reasons of conscience, a notarized Affidavit of Exemption must be filed with the school.

In order to have access to your child's schedule in Skyward and to start school, proof of immunization or a current, notarized affidavit must be received.

You may fax, mail, email, or bring the updated shot records to the school.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. This is my 6th year at DSMS & I firmly believe I have the very best job on Earth. It is such a privilege to know and care for your children. I have been married for 19 years to a Dripping Springs native (Class of '93) & we have one daughter, Taylor, in 10th grade. In my spare time, I love to read, bake, travel, and practice yoga.

In addition to running a busy clinic, I'm also the proud sponsor of the DSMS Tiger Closet - our donation-based clothing closet, in partnership with Project Connect Dripping Springs. We support the children of Tiger Nation by providing them with clothing and other basic necessities. We'd love to be your drop-off destination for clothing in both new and excellent used condition. Please contact me!

We are so lucky to have a second nurse join us at DSMS. Please welcome, Tricia Rainey, RN! She will be with us through the Spring semester & hopefully beyond.
