CaceyHello! My name is Cacey Portsmith and I’m one of the counselors here at Walnut Springs Elementary. I graduated from New York University with a Master's of Applied Psychology with a Mental Health School Counseling concentration. I have worked at some point with every grade level K-12 for over five years, but love the energy and wonder of the elementary setting. I moved to Austin from NYC with my husband Brandon and Corgi, Dalloway. I enjoy being outside, practicing yoga, reading, cooking, painting, and being with family. I look forward to supporting our diverse population of students and meeting the needs of our school community with an equitable, informed mind and open heart. Go Tigers!

JenaHello there! My name is Jena Pelayo. This will be my second year as a school counselor at Walnut Springs Elementary. Before becoming a school counselor, I worked as a special education teacher for seven years. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. I live in Dripping Springs with my husband Robert and my children, Asher, Adrian, and Audrey. We are so excited to continue to grow our roots in this community and I look forward to building relationships with the students, families, staff and community members involved with Walnut Springs Elementary.
