Welcome to Sycamore Springs Elementary! I am thrilled to serve our community and look forward to forging long-lasting relationships with your family. My family and I recently moved from Colorado, where we both grew up. My husband, Don, and I have 4 children, Cullen (28), Nevin (24), Braeden (22), and Reese (18), as well as 2 granddaughers (Juniper (2) and June (2)). We enjoy hiking, all things outdoors, and spending time with one another. Having spent endless summers in Mt. Pleasant, Texas with my grandparents and great aunt, I knew that Texas was our next home. We both love the small town feel that we have here in Dripping Springs and feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the community.

I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in the area of Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Special Education, with licensure in Elementary Education. I also hold two Master's Degrees; one in Educational Technology from Grand Canyon University and another in Educational Leadership from Jones International University. I have been an educator for the past 19 years, serving as a principal for the past 5 years in the Douglas County School District. Previous to that, my career included teaching students with specials needs and in grades K-3.

I strongly feel that partnerships between school and home are essential to student success. As partners, our students can achieve their dreams and become productive, positive members of society. My goal as an administrator is to ensure that Sycamore Springs students set goals, achieve greatness and become lifelong leaders. I look forward to partnering with you and your family on this educational journey!
