Raynie McLaurinHowdy! My name is Raynie McLaurin. This is my second year in Dripping Springs ISD and my fifth year as a school counselor. I received my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on early childhood education. While teaching I really felt a passion in wanting to become a school counselor, so I went back to Sam Houston State University to receive my master’s degree in school counseling. I live in Dripping Springs with my husband Kaleb and my daughters, Reese (2) and Kate (11 months). We absolutely love being in this area, and I look forward to continuing building relationships and meeting the needs of our amazing DSE students.
Michelle TasinMy name is Michelle Tasin, and I am so excited to be the newest addition to the counseling team at DSE! I am from Houston, TX and I played college softball at Centenary College of Louisiana where I majored in psychology. I began my education career in East Texas teaching kindergarten for 2 years in Gilmer ISD. I recently moved to Austin last summer where I obtained another kindergarten teaching position in Lake Travis ISD alongside completing my internship for school counseling. This past May I graduated with my Masters in School Counseling and LPC from Lamar University.Outside of school, I coach softball and volleyball and love spending time outside working out and being with my puppy. I cannot wait to start my counseling career here in Dripping Springs ISD. After working so hard and learning so much the past 3 years in my educational career and graduate school, I am ready to embark on this new chapter and incredible journey in my life. I am looking forward to working with the students, families, and staff in Dripping Springs! Go Tigers
Karen "KJ" Jones
I am the new Mental Health Professional shared between DSES and SSES. I studied Psychology at Baylor and got my Masters in Educational Psychology/Counseling from UT Austin.
I am returning home after serving for several years as a teacher at the elementary level and counselor at all levels for Frisco ISD. My heart is with elementary children, so I am very excited to have this opportunity to work as a team to support our students and families! I will be providing an extra layer of support for our Upper-Tier kiddos. My passions include playing tennis and learning Spanish (Anyone willing to practice with me? It may require a bit of patience!)
I can't wait to meet you and start the school year!
