I am elated to serve for the sixth year as the Proud Principal at Dripping Springs Elementary! I also had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal at Walnut Springs for six years.  We have a fantastic community!

I began my teaching career in Austin ISD at Cunningham Elementary in 2003, teaching first grade. I continued my education journey in 2006, teaching third grade at Dripping Springs Elementary and Rooster Springs Elementary.

I believe in transformational leadership and in goal setting to accomplish great things! All teachers and students can achieve greatness, and it is my role to enable greatness in people everywhere! The children are the purpose of my career as an administrator. Education is one of the most rewarding careers because we witness student and staff achievement and growth every day.

I am a proud wife and mother to three children. Kasey is in graduate school studying speech pathology at the University of Oklahoma. Curt is a Junior in college studying economics at Cornell University, where he plays football for the Big Red. Our youngest, Kylar, is a Freshman in college studying business administration and playing volleyball for Colorado Christian University.  My husband and I love watching our children participate and compete in sports: volleyball, swim, basketball, baseball, and football. I love running and staying fit to "sharpen my saw", and I am a 9-year cancer survivor. Most importantly, I AM A LIFE CHANGER and A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTOR.

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, “I’m Possible”!  Audrey Hepburn

I am proud to be a part of the Dripping Springs Elementary family again this year. Each of you has a special place in my heart and I am excited to enjoy my 4th year at DSE with you!

I started my journey in education in 2005 after graduating from Texas State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Math. I taught high school Spanish for 10 years before beginning my role as an administrator. I also coached cheerleading, swimming and even bowling! I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2013 (also from Texas State - Go Bobcats!) and for the last 5 years I have been an administrator and I love my job!

The rewards I have received in my years of education for serving children have been countless. Working with kids is such an honor and I could not imagine any other profession.  I truly feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work with young minds every day. It is a passion of mine and I am so excited to share that joy with each of you again next year!

My husband and I met at Texas State and have two beautiful children. We enjoy spending time with family, competing in sports, being outside and attending college football games. We also have a fur baby named Zoey and she is just as much a part of the family as the kiddos!

Let’s make it a great year!

I am honored to serve as an assistant principal at DSE for the 2020-2021 school year! This is my first year in DSISD and I could not be more excited. It is going to be an incredible year!

I graduated from The University of Texas in 2012. I have experience teaching at both the elementary and middle school levels in Austin ISD, as well as experience as Dance Director, Athletic Coordinator, and Cheer Sponsor at the middle school level. In 2015, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. I began my career as an administrator in 2017 and have loved every minute of it! I am currently working on my EdD in Educational Leadership and love sharing my passion for lifelong learning with students.

Being able to work with students every day is an unbelievable opportunity. It is amazing to watch students learn, grow, create, dream, and accomplish their goals. I believe in teamwork and collaboration and am looking forward to working with the incredible team of staff, parents, students, and community members at DSE.

My husband, Jake, grew up in Dripping Springs and we couldn’t wait to move back to this wonderful community. We have two fur babies, Jax and Gage, and enjoy traveling, staying active, spending time with friends and family, and attending college football games. It is a pleasure to serve the DSE learning community. I will do everything I can to contribute to an outstanding school year! Go Tigers!
