DUAL ENROLLMENT OVERVIEW
Dripping Springs High School offers access to both dual credit and dual enrollment on the campus. Dual credit class is taught by Austin Community College instructors beginning for students in ninth grade. This allows students to earn both high school and college credit at the same time. High school counselors, along with ACC counselors, assist students in the registration process including the application, TSI testing, college advising and course enrollment. Dual enrollment classes are taught by both a DSISD teacher and a college professor employed by the University of Texas. Students can earn high school credit and college credit. Currently, there is no cost for ACC students to enroll in either of the programs as long as they are completed on the Dripping Springs High School campus. However, all students who wish to take an ACC may be required to purchase textbooks. Students who enroll in classes at an ACC campus are required to pay $150 per course and buy textbooks. The cost for UT OnRamps is $149 per semester course. The cost for UT OnRamps English III and U.S. History-year-long courses are $298 each.
