Dripping Springs ISD carefully aligns annual planning at all levels to ensure that the district is moving forward as a cohesive organization. Goals are developed at multiple levels, each with evaluative properties. The community is heavily involved with Dripping Springs ISD, both at the campus level and the district level, and input from parents is considered during planning processes. District leadership is committed to transparency in all areas, including planning.
Dripping Springs ISD engaged in a comprehensive planning process to guide the future of the district, its schools, students and staff when developing the 2016-21 Strategic Plan. This process included the input of many stakeholder groups, which was organized by the district's Visionary Leaders, or administrative team. The Board of Trustees approved the final strategic plan goals prior to the 2016-17 school year, at which time it was implemented district-wide. The District Improvement Plan and Campus Improvement Plans have aligned with the strategic plan.
In 2021, as new Superintendent Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz begins her first school year with the district, work will begin to develop a new five-year plan.
